The YMCA of San Joaquin County has been dedicated to serving the community since 1855. Our YMCA is a non-facility organization. We provide programs at different sites in Stockton, Linden, Lodi, and Tracy. Our YMCA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Over 700 volunteers and staff serve our YMCA and community as coaches, mentors, fundraisers, and tutors. Our vision is to be the program of choice for inspiring youth to reach their greatest potential.
Although our economy is going through tough times, the Y is here to help strengthen the foundation of our community. We are committed to reaching, serving and meeting our community’s need. Join us as we aim to make a difference!
We here at the Y are committed to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. The YMCA of San Joaquin County can be characterized as a "YMCA without Walls" developing partnerships with other public, private and community-based organizations in order to deliver our programs to the widest possible population.
We include our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to everything we do. Our Y serves people of all backgrounds, ages, capabilities and income levels, providing financial assistance to those in need.
For over 150 years, the YMCA has been committed to developing character in children, families, the community and our staff. This is a commitment to our participants, volunteers and community. Character Development is the reason the YMCA exists, to improve not only the person but our whole community.
The YMCA welcomes people from all socio-economic backgrounds. Financial assistance is available on a limited and means-tested basis for those who can demonstrate financial need. Please click here to register link or contact the YMCA office for more details.
We build strong minds, character, and bodies for all youth in our community.
We are the program of choice for inspiring youth to reach their full potential.
The YMCA is a non-profit organization whose revenue comes largely from program fees, grant income and fundraising activities.
Fundraising income is used to help supplement program fees, offset the cost of program items and also to provide scholarship support for specific individuals and outreach activities.
