YMCA and Stockton Heat team up for excellent results

At their Opening Game on October 15th, 2021, The Stockton heat announced a challenge to the YMCA of San Joaquin County and the United Way. Get your supporters in the seats, and they would donate $10 per ticket.

The YMCA of San Joaquin County was prepared and ready to go.

With a final ticket count of 100 tickets for the YMCA, you could say that the YMCA brought the “Heat”.

To go along with the support the YMCA and United way brought to the Stockton Heat, both organizations were provided with promotional tables to explain their purposes and what they do within the community.

The YMCA of San Joaquin County is currently launching a new program funded by First 5 of San Joaquin, which will serve families with children ages 0-5. The program will include services and activities such as Raising a Reader book bags, health and nutrition education, parent meetings, community events, and other resources to help promote healthy living within the community. This

program will be in addition to the Y’s current Licensed Before and After school programs, Grant Funded Afterschool programs, Sports, Aquatics, and participation in community events.

You can find the YMCA of San Joaquin County at the Children’s Museum Trunk or Treat on October 24th from 11am-3pm or the Quail Lakes Baptist Church Harvest Festival on October 29th from 5 p.m to 8 p.m.
